J.D. Trainor Obituary
It is with tremendous heartbreak we announce that J.D., our cherished son and brother, passed peacefully away surrounded by the love of his family at the young age of 16 years.
Predeceased by his grandfathers: Elwood Higdon and Brian Trainor.
Leaving with endless memories his devoted parents: Christina and Jerry; his sister Taylor (Nathan) and brother Joe; grandparents: Ann Higdon and Elizabeth Trainor; aunts and uncles: Petrina (Jason) Pollett, Owen (Terri Lynn) Higdon, Joanie (Kevin) Trainor, Colleen (Scott) Cleary, Denise (Tony) O’Driscoll, Dawn Trainor, Traci (Dave) Caines, Blain Trainor, Megan Trainor and a very large circle of cousins, extended family, the hockey community, and friends.
We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Janeway, the doctors, nurses and staff. Your compassion and care for J.D. and our family will never be forgotten. Special thanks to Dr. Natasha Noel. Your constant support and guidance meant everything to us. You have gone above and beyond your duties as a resident.
J.D’s true love was hockey. A force to be reckoned with on the ice, but also off the ice. Through his years of playing on many different teams he developed great friendships and has left countless memories with his team mates. To the hockey community, we are forever grateful for the love and support you have shown J.D. and our family. Words cannot describe our appreciation.
J.D. was an old soul – wise beyond his years. Often referred to as a gentle giant, J.D was considerate, selfless, and truly kind. He had the biggest heart and the biggest smile. He always had your back and was a truly exceptional young man.
J.D’s memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Visitation will be held at Barrett’s Funeral Home 73 Commonwealth Ave., Mount Pearl on Monday, January 20th, and Tuesday January 21st, from 2-4 and 7-9pm.
