With great sadness the family announces the sudden passing of Jason Yerxa 50 of Big Island First Nation on March 5, 2025 at the Rainy River Hospital.
Jason was born in Fort Frances on September 7, 1974 to parents Margaret and Wayne Yerxa. He grew up in the communities of Fort Frances, Brandon, Winnipeg and Big Island First Nation. Jason enjoyed fishing, playing guitar, reading and writing books and he was a devote Montreal Canadians fan.
He will be greatly missed by his mother Margaret, his siblings Darlene Gibbins and Kevin Yerxa and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Jason was predeceased by his father Wayne, his siblings Cynthia, Jessica, Jennifer and Dwayne Yerxa.
