Jason’s Obituary
On the blustery day of March 11, 1976 life welcomed a memorable soul, Jason Aston, whose journey ended too soon on February 16, 2025 at the tender age of 48. Jason’s life was a vibrant tapestry of laughter, hard work and heart. Known for his infectious laugh that could brighten the dullest of days, Jason was always the first to offer a helping hand, truly embodying the spirit of his beloved community.
Throughout his career, Jason dedicated himself as a trainer at Goldcorp and more recently at West Red Lake Goldmines. Workplace safety wasn’t just a job for Jason; it was a mission. With unwavering resolve, he placed the lives and safety of his coworkers before all else, fostering an environment where everyone felt valued and protected. While not at work, Jason loved to create incredible worlds for his friends to conquer, get lost in online games with his wife and spent as much time as he could with his family.
Jason’s heart was woven around his family, marrying the love of his life Katie on November 25th, 2011 and becoming a father to Courtney on May 5th, 1998 undoubtedly his proudest achievement. Jason is survived by his devoted wife Katie, his loving daughter Courtney, and proud father Bryan. He was predeceased by his mother Teresa, whose memory he carried dearly in his heart.
