In Loving Memory of Jannette Saberon (April 28, 1970 – March 27, 2025)
Jannette Saberon passed away on March 27, 2025, in Toronto, Canada, surrounded by her loving family. In her final moments, she was held close by her children, Caitlin and Sean Ross, her mother Leonida, and her sister Josephine, a testament to the deep bonds of love she nurtured throughout her life.
Born on April 28, 1970, in the Philippines, Jannette lived a life full of resilience, adventure, and love. She worked in the Middle East before building a new life in Canada, where she created a home filled with warmth and laughter.
Jannette was the strongest person you could ever meet. She fought breast cancer like a champ, facing every challenge with courage and grace. Even when the illness spread too aggressively and took her from us far too soon, she never let it define her. Instead, she continued to bring light, laughter, and love to those around her, always putting others first.
No matter what life threw her way, she faced it quietly, never wanting to burden others. Instead, she poured her energy into making sure her loved ones were cared for, always giving more than she had to enrich their lives. She was adventurous, funny, and had a laugh that could brighten any room. Her generous spirit and boundless warmth made strangers feel like family, and she surrounded herself with the best kind of people because she was one of them.
She was also incredibly smart, with an uncanny ability to find solutions to any problem. No matter how difficult the situation, she approached it with determination and resourcefulness, always managing to make things work.
She found joy in hiking, dragon boat racing, traveling the world, and unwinding with international dramas. No matter where life took her, she built deep and lasting friendships, leaving an unforgettable mark on everyone she met.
Jannette’s greatest pride and joy were her two children, Caitlin and Sean Ross, who will forever cherish the love, strength, and wisdom she gave them. She taught them the value of resilience, kindness, and always finding something to smile about, even in the hardest moments.
She will be deeply missed, her laughter, her big, beautiful smile, and the way she made life feel a little brighter just by being in it. More than anything, she would want to be remembered as the vibrant, wonderful, and energetic person she was.
Jannette’s life was a testament to strength, love, and joy. In honouring her memory, may we all live a little more fully, love a little more deeply, and laugh a little more freely, just as she did.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the Dorothy Ley Hospice, where Jannette spent her final moments, in her memory. dorothyleyhospice.akaraisin.com/ui/donateinmemory/donations/start
