Janice Leslie Nelson
Called suddenly to her Heavenly Father on January 6, 2025. Janice is mourned by her husband Brian of 57 years, her daughters Nancy (Rich), Deidre (Brad), and grandchildren Kathleen Turner (Chris), Gavin, Griffin, Maggie, Sarah and Naomi, nephew Ian DeBrouwer (Janet), niece Leslie-Ann DeBrouwer of Australia and many cousins in England.
Janice was predeceased by her parents Kathleen and Leslie Leslie, and her sister Shiela DeBrouwer. Janice immigrated to Canada from England in 1958, and met Brian (Dietmar) while living in Toronto. She worked a number of years at the Preston Medical Centre. Janice was a vibrant and outgoing wife and mother, who enjoyed travelling and the company of her friends and family.
Janice’s funeral is 12:00 pm on Friday January 10, 2025, at Corbett Funeral Home (95 Dundas Street N., Cambridge). There will be a visitation prior to the service at 11:00am, followed by a reception at 12:30pm. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Cancer Society or the Heart & Stroke Society. Private family burial to follow at New Hope Cemetery.
