Rayner, (NEE KENT) ELizabeth “Jane” passed away January 12, 2025, peacefully in her sleep, at the age of 78. Jane was a mentor of love, generosity, unwavering strength and kindness. Raised in Millgrove Ontario, she married her beloved husband of 59 years Kenneth “Wayne”. They started their family in Waterdown, eventually settling in Mount Pleasant, Ontario. She devoted her life to raising her family. Loving mother of Teresa (Bill) and Timothy (Denise). Cherished grandmother of Tyler “Benny”, Brittany (Nick), Courtney and Anna. Great Grandmother of Jaxson and Chase. Predeceased by her loving parents Kenneth and Ruth (Teese) Kent, sister Ruth Ann Halliday, brother James Kent, sister-in-law’s Arlene (Kenneth) Sauchuk and Carol Rayner. Jane cherished and was adored by her several nieces and nephews. She found serenity in watching hockey, her birds and all her outdoor activities. She will be deeply missed by many including Miss Belle. Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Avenue, Brantford on Monday, January 20, from 11am to 1 pm. Her “celebration of life” service will be held in the chapel at 1pm. Interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Elizabeth in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
