It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of James Pendergast, who passed away peacefully on March 15, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. At 91 years old, James lived a life full of love, kindness, and devotion to those he cherished most.
Predeceased by his beloved wife, Mae Pendergast, James now joins her in eternal rest. He leaves behind his children, Pam (Clem) and Jimmy (Kristin), who will forever hold his memory close. His legacy continues through his adored grandchildren; Amber, Braden, Michael, and Karla, as well as his precious great-granddaughter, Maeva, who brought him endless joy.
James will also be dearly missed by his sister, Linda (Neil), and his sisters-in-law, Theresa, Norma (George), and Joyce. He also leaves behind his nephew, Tony (Bridget), with whom he shared many fond memories, along with a large circle of other family members and friends who were fortunate to know him.
A special thanks to his son-in-law, Clem, with whom James shared many days and evenings over the years, building a bond that meant so much to him. He also leaves behind his beloved grand-puppy, Willow, who brought him so much happiness.
James was a man of quiet strength, wisdom, and a heart full of love. His presence filled every room with warmth, his stories brought laughter, and his unwavering support gave comfort to all who knew him. Though he is no longer with us, his love and lessons will continue to guide us.
Visitation will take place on March 16th from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A funeral service to celebrate James’s life will be held on March 17th at 11:00 AM at Coombs Memorial Chapel. Interment to follow at Coombs Memorial Cemetery, Southeast, Placentia.
Rest peacefully, James. You will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
