Obituary of James Linton McCallum
McCALLUM, James Linton – Jim went to be with his heavenly Father on Thursday, January 16, 2025. Beloved husband of Jocelyn and the late Doreen May (Haggarty)(2008). Father of Jim (Pam) Bartley and Pamela (Kevin) Gamble. Step-father of Eric Johnston. Proud grandpa of Chelsea, Megan and Alex Scott and Ryan Bartley and great-grandpa of Ava, Isaac and Layla. Predeceased by parents Bill and Mildred McCallum. Jim taught at Alexander MacKenzie Secondary School for 41 years, retiring in 2006. He loved football. He especially enjoyed coaching football at the high school level and at church. Jim was an amazing husband, father, grandfather and friend. Even when he was sick, he would always put others ahead of himself. Jim’s family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Bluewater Health Palliative Care for the wonderful care given to him during his stay there.
Friends will be received at the McKenzie & Blundy Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 431 Christina St. N. on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will held in the chapel on Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at 1 p.m. followed by burial in Lakeview Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, friends who wish may send memorial donations to Bluewater Health Palliative Care, 89 Norman St., Sarnia, N7T 6S3.
