Obituary of James Frederick Blackmore
BLACKMORE, James Frederick – Peacefully at Bluewater Health, James “Jim” Blackmore died on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at the age of 71. Beloved husband of the late Laurie Blackmore (2022). Loving father of Jen Blackmore (Matt). Cherished grandfather of Nick & Nathan and Ryder. Dear brother of Mary Lou Campbell (Pat). Brother-in-law of Alan VanCowenberg (Linda) and Larry VanCowenberg. Also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Fred & Helen Blackmore and his sister Carol.
Jim was a proud, lifelong member of the IUPAT – Painters Union Local 1590. Always up for a cold one, Jim was a social butterfly and spending time with his family and friends brought great joy to his life. He loved listening to music and fast cars. Jim will be missed but lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
Cremation has taken place. A private graveside service will be held at Lakeview Cemetery.
