It is with great sadness that we
announce the passing of James William
Hunter, 84 years, of Springhill, on Sunday, March 2,
2025 in High Crest Nursing Home.
Born in Halifax, he was a son of the
late Clarence and Leona (Fisher) Hunter.
James was very social and loved by all
who met him. He
was a devoted brother and friend.
James will be dearly missed by his
brother, John (Brenda) Hunter, Springhill and his sister, Heather
White, Springhill, as well as several close nieces and
nephews.
Besides his parents, James was
predeceased by his brother, Clarence, and his brother in law, Borden
White.
The family would like to extend their
deepest gratitude to the staff at the High Crest Nursing Home for
their compassion and care for James during his stay.
Arrangements are under the care and
direction of the A. H. Brown Funeral
Home, 5 McFarlane Street, Springhill, (902 597 2361). A
graveside service will be held in the Hillside Cemetery at a later
date.
Those wishing to make a donation in
memory of James may be made to a charity of the donor’s
choice.
