James “Sam” Beshara Obituary
It is with broken hearts that the family of James “Sam” Thomas Beshara, beloved husband of the late Amber (Hunter) Beshara, announces his passing on January 21, 2025, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, NB, on December 6, 1947, he was the son of the late James Thomas Sr. and Dora (Foster) Beshara.
Sam enjoyed hunting and fishing but had a passion for wood carving. He worked at the drydock until he retired and spent weekends with his loving wife Amber and their friends on road trips.
Sam is survived by his daughters: Pauline (Kevin) Loughery, Cherie (Doug) Thorne and Shelley Dexter; and son Justin (Kelly) Beshara; grandchildren: Laura, Kelsie, Timothy, Mark, Christopher, Steven, Nathan, Braydon, and Rylan; great grandchildren: Harlow, Weslynn, Liam, Jeffrey, and Rowin; sisters: Constance (Robert) Landry, Carol (Sterling) Kearney, and Marjorie (the late Larry) Greer; as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents and wife, Sam was predeceased by his son-in-law Christopher Dexter.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, NB E2J 2G3; (506) 646-2424. A visitation will be held on Sunday, January 26, 2025, from 11AM to 2PM, followed by a Funeral Service in the Fundy Chapel at 2PM. Donations in Sam’s memory can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation, or a charity of the donor’s choice.
