Dad was a social, likeable guy with a friendly ready smile and beautiful baby blue eyes. He had a bark but no bite. Dad had a big generous heart and really was a gentle giant. Dad liked to be mobile. He loved his bikes, cars, trailer, boat and his golf cart. And he walked a lot.
Dad and Mom loved spending time at their trailer in the woods along the Bayfield River by Lake Huron.
He enjoyed traveling, fishing, playing cards and watching sports, especially hockey with his favorite teams the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Calgary Flames. Dad loved to dance.
Special thanks to Dr. Roszell and the Thamesview Family Healthcare Team and all of the care providers at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance. We are grateful for all who had a hand with dad`s comfort care during his last weeks.
The family invite friends to honor Dad’s long life on Monday, January 27, 2025 at Kendrick Funeral Home, 4 Victoria Avenue, Chatham. Visit with the family from 1 to 2 pm and the funeral service to start at 2 pm with Pastor Greg Simpson officiating.
