With heavy hearts, the family of James “Jim” McDonald announces his peaceful passing on Friday morning, January 10, 2025, at the Arnprior and District Memorial Hospital just 6 days after his 70th birthday. He was the beloved husband of Dale McDonald and the cherished son of Eileen (Rollins) and the late Harold McDonald. Jim was a proud father to Andrew McDonald (Danielle), Natalie McDonald, and Tara Ingham (Andrew), and an adoring grandfather to Colby, Nicolas, Emma, Mason, and Cooper. He was the dear brother of Gail Zeron (Jim) of Oxford Mills, Janet Brazeau (Claude), and Sandra McDonald, all of Ottawa. His memory will be cherished by his brothers and sisters-in-law, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, as well as by his many great friends. He will be especially missed by his furry pals, Deezle and Gunner McDonald. Jim will be remembered for his passion for riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, his love of golf and his admiration for bald eagles. Jim’s arrangements have been entrusted to the Boyce Funeral Home Ltd. 138 Daniel Street N., Arnprior. A Celebration of his life will be held at a later date. In memory of Jim, a donation may be made to the University of Ottawa Heart Institute.
