James (Jim) William Logan Obituary
With heavy hearts and profound sadness, we announce the passing of our brother, James (Jim) William Logan on January 24, 2025.
Jim was born in Fort McMurray, Alberta and spent most of his adult life in Toronto. Jim was predeceased by his parents Frank and Elizabeth (Betty) Logan, paternal grandparents John and Elena (Savard) Logan from Lac St. Anne, maternal grandparents Jonas and Mary Rose (Cardinal) Powder from Fort McMurray Alberta, and two brothers John Logan (Sonny) and Trevor Logan.
Jim is loved, missed and will never be forgotten by his siblings Olivia Logan, Frank Logan (Shelly), Kathy Boston (Brian), Eamon Logan (Sarah), Jean Logan, Audrey Logan and the many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Special acknowledgement to his nieces Kasha, Tyleshia, Alannah, and Tiffany who shared in the care of the uncle they loved so much. Trish Hosein, who was very special to him and spent many years as her friend in Toronto. He will be greatly missed by his many Toronto friends as Toronto was his home for many years.
Jim was a very vibrant, caring and kind man. He worked for years in the steel industry as a Rod Buster and after retiring from there, he worked at a fabric store until he moved to Winnipeg to spend his last few years with his family. He loved animals and provided food and shelter to the stray cats on our street. His nieces and nephews hold fond memories of times they spent together while they were growing up.
Jim’s journey to the Spirit World is heartbreaking for his earthside family and friends but what a joyous reunion he has with his parents, siblings, and our ancestors as he entered the spirit world.
