James Hamilton Alexander August 30, 1939 – March 7, 2025 On Friday, Hamilton was called home to be with his Lord and Saviour, peacefully surrounded by his wife and family. He was a loving and dedicated husband, father, grandad and great grandad . He will be missed by his loving wife of 63 years, Eleanor, and his children, Ruth, Miriam (Michael) and Scott (Kathy). Hamilton was a beloved grandad to Matthew (Andrea), Meaghan (Leisin), Elyssa, Rachel and Eric, and great grandad to David. Hamilton was loved as a father by Barbara, and as a grandad by Megan, Katelyn (Wesley), Anna and Jake. He is survived by his sisters Muriel and Jean, his brother Andrew (Gladys) and sister in-law Anne, and predeceased by his brother Samuel and sister Margaret (Amour). His family mourns his loss but are filled with gratitude for having shared our lives with him. His generosity, faith, and love will remain with us as a testimony of how to live life to the fullest in Christ. Born in Newcastle, Northern Ireland, he emigrated to Canada at 19 with big dreams and a desire to work hard. He met and married Eleanor in Toronto in 1962. He was called Hamilton by his family and Jim by his many friends and business associates. Hamilton moved to a hobby farm on the 6th line of Nassagaweya in 1972 and lived and worked for most of his life in Milton, opening several businesses that manufactured medical equipment which he created and patented. His inventions saved and improved the quality of life for many people. He will always be remembered as a master problem solver, getting things to work in the most ingenious ways. We are so proud of the legacy of compassion and service he has left us to continue.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on March 22, 2025 at 10 am, with an opportunity to visit with the family from 11:30 am -12:30 pm, at Milton Bible Church, 121 Chisholm Dr. Milton, ON, L9T 4A6. In lieu of flowers, gestures of sympathy can be directed to Holy Scriptures and Israel or Canadian Cancer Society
