Passed peacefully at St. Peter’s Residence surrounded by loving family.
Dearly loved husband of Doreen (née McLea) for almost 59 years. Proud father of Heather Hill (Michael), loving grandfather “Papa” to Alexa and Sydney Hill, and brother-in-law to Bob and Nancy McLea, and Dave and Pauline Dutton. Also loved by many extended family.
He is predeceased by parents Lella Maude and Sydney Barber Bisbee, sister Dawn Northwood and brother-in-law George, Betty Mannett and her husband Dallas and their son Paul, and sister-in-law Donna Dutton.
Ben had an infectious laugh, was very easygoing, loved playing cards, and travelling while able. Ben worked for CN Railroad and Canada Post, retiring in 1990.
As per his wishes cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held in the near future.
