James Anthony Amiro – (83) born May 19, 1941. James passed away peacefully at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital Jan 22, 2025.
James is survived by brothers Burton and Larry Amiro and sister Maureen (Amiro) Mansell.
Predeceased by his parents Bernard and Audrey (Nickerson) Amiro, his wife Emily (Nickerson) Amiro. Also his brothers Irvin and George Amiro and sister Florence (Amiro) Maynard.
James served in the Canadian Military and had traveled to many places in service to his country, but Yarmouth was home to him and his wife Emily.
Cremation has taken place under the care of Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. A graveside service will be held in Chebogue Cemetery May 17th, 2025
Memorial donations may be made in his name to Th’YARC, or the Yarmouth Regional Hospital foundation. His family thanks the Yarmouth Regional Hospital for the care he was given in his final days.
