Jadwiga Michalina Terka Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jadwiga Michalina Terka (nee Jozefowicz) who left us on Saturday February 1, 2025. Jadwiga was born in Rawicz Poland September 29, 1929. In 1959 she met and married Czeszlaw Julian Terka who has predeceased her. She came to Toronto, Canada in 1960 to be with her husband to build a life and a family. She was a very loving mother to Nellie Boehm (Andreas Boehm), Mark Terka (Mynee Deosaran Terka), George Terka (Karolina Steszalska Terka), grandmother to Emilia, Justine, Krzysztof, Karissa and Alex.
She had a beautiful voice and sang in St. Kazimierz church choir Melodia for 40 years. Together with Czeszlaw they were involved in Polish Scouting, increased their family with inviting to Canada many cousins. She always had an open door for those in need. No one ever left her house hungry. She was a fantastic baker and her babka (bundt cake) the most loved.
Her greatest joy her family, her friends, but mostly her grandchildren.

Family and friends will be recieved at the Ridley Funeral Home located at 3080 Lake Shore Blvd W, Etobicoke, ON M8V 1K3 on Thursday, Febuary 6th from 3pm to 9pm with prayers taking place at 7:30pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at St Casimir’s Parish located at 156 Roncesvalles Ave, Toronto, ON M6R 2L4 on Friday, Febuary 7th at 10am followed by burial at St John’s Dixie Cemetery 737 Dundas St E, Mississauga, ON L4Y 2B5.
