With great sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved father, John Cyril Jacques.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mirelys Pena. He is also survived by former wife Heather Starnes along with his treasured children, Ryan (Melanie), Serena, Adam (Ann-Marie), and his four granddaughters, Meadow, Myla, Adalyn and Milana. He is also survived by his brothers, Thomas Jacques, Brian Cooper, and sister Pat Di Raddo and his nephews, Tyler, Curtis, and Ted, along with his nieces Laura, Cheryl, Kendra, Jennifer and Stephanie.
John was a kind and caring man with a heart of gold. He never met a stranger and helped people however he could. He enjoyed the simple things in life, and had a special enthusiasm when it came to the holidays and vacation with family. These include trips up north fishing, visiting family in Kingston. Many trips to Daytona with the Beach Boys playing on the cassette player and, in later years, enjoying stays in Cuba with his wife. He was laid back even when times were hard. He had a huge laugh that filled the room. He loved being a grandpa and enjoyed his time with his grandchildren. His memory will live on in all of us, along with the lessons he taught about kindness, generosity, and what it means to truly be a good person.
A service will be held at a later date.
