Obituary of Jacqueline Grace Morrison (née McKee)
It is with deep sadness that our family announces the peaceful passing of Jacqueline Grace Morrison at Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket, on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at the age of 77.
Jacqueline was the beloved daughter of the late Dorothy McKee, and a devoted mother to Megan Primeau (Michael), Michael Morrison, and Rebecca Doner (Paul). She was the cherished sister of Frank McKee (Laura), the late Marilyn O’Connor (Ken), and Marlene McKee. Jacqueline adored her grandchildren — Lilyann, Elizabeth, John, and Charlotte Doner — who brought her immeasurable joy, especially in her final days. She also leaves behind her dear nieces and nephews: Jennifer and Karen McKee, Jeremy O’Connor (Charlene), and Bronwyn Mason (Rob). She also leaves behind Jack Morrison who was her faithful husband for forty years, and will be lovingly remembered by her lifelong friend Donna Traynor (James), as well as Donna’s daughters, Jean (Arun) and Jamie.
Jacqueline took great pride in her early career as a legal secretary. After the birth of her children, she dedicated herself fully to meeting the needs of her children and caring for the family home. She had a deep appreciation for animals and nature — a love she passed on to her children and grandchildren. Her strong work ethic and determined strength live on in them.
Her favourite place in the world was Woodland Park, where she spent many cherished summers during her early years. Her time there gave her some of her most treasured memories.
Our family would like to express heartfelt thanks to the PACTT team for their decade-long support and care as well as to the exceptional nursing staff at Southlake for the compassion and care shown to Jacqueline in her final weeks.
A private cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held in the coming weeks.
