Jean Carol Ann “Carol” Wing (nee Bossence)
December 25, 1944-September 1, 2025
Surrounded by her family, it is with the heaviest hearts we announce the passing of our beautiful wife, mother, and grandmother, Carol. Carol is survived by her loving husband of over 61 years of marriage, Gerry. Loving mother to her only son Steven (Sarrah), and precious grandmother to Logan. Carol was a beloved sister, aunt, and friend. She is survived by her sisters Shirley Fischer (Fred) and Diane Boeve (John). Predeceased by her parents, Thomas & Lena Bossence, her brothers Johnny & Lloyd Bossence, her sisters Vera Friedmann, Barbara Schneider, and Vivian Greenley.
Carol was born in Perth County, moving to Kitchener in her younger years. She met the love of her life, Gerry, while roller-skating at Waterloo Arena. They married at St Peter’s Lutheran Church in Preston. They waited 11 years for Steven to arrive and were elated when he did. Carol was so proud of her son becoming an Ontario Provincial Police Officer. She always looked forward to phone calls from Steve and visits with her family.
In her youth Carol enjoyed living on the home farm and caring for her horses. In 1985, Gerry and Carol sought out a cottage to enjoy in their retirement years and settled on their beautiful property in Wasaga Beach. They enjoyed watching Steve enjoy his teen years at the beach.
Carol was a lover of driving her Ford Mustang and playing cards, and always had a cup of tea in her hand. She loved hosting numerous card games with Gerry at their home, making sure everyone played by the rules. She loved playing Bingo and going to garage sales, always looking for a deal.
Carol’s family will receive relatives and friends at the Carruthers & Davidson Funeral Home, 509 River Road West, Wasaga Beach for visitation on Thursday, September 4, 2025 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm.
Graveside service will be held at 11am, Friday, September 5, 2025 at Wasaga Beach Cemetery, 610 Sunnidale Road, Wasaga Beach, ON. A Celebration of Life to follow at the Carruthers & Davidson Funeral Home, 509 River Road West, Wasaga Beach.
