Entered into rest peacefully at Caressant Care McLaughlin in Lindsay on Friday Febuary 14, 2025. Ivan at the age of 98, was the loving husband of Grace West (nee Flett) for over 75 years. Loving father to Wayne West (Karey), David West (Judy), Janey Wilson (Ron) and Kathy Bartley. Cherished Grandpa to Allan (Debbie), Phillip (Shannon); Amy, Michelle (Simon), Jonathon (Carly); Jason (Shauntel), Michael (Amanda); Alaina (Jay), Laura, Michael and predeceased by Chad. Great Grandpa to Connor, Emma, Sam, Piper, Nora, Kaidan, Olivia, Chloe and Oakley. Predeceased by his siblings Lloyd West, George West, Marion Wilson and Doreen McMillan. Loving brother to Shirley Montgomery and brother in law to June West. Ivan will be missed by his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Visitation will take place at the Stoddart Funeral Home, 24 Mill Street, Lindsay on Thursday Febuary 20th from 11:00 am until the time of the funeral service in the chapel at 1:00 pm. A reception will follow the funeral service at Celebrations, 33 Lindsay Street North, Lindsay. Interment to follow in the spring at Eden Church Cemetery, Cambray. If desired, a memorial donation may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Kawartha Lakes, which would be appreciated by the family.
