Obituary of Iris Dorothy Wister
Iris Dorothy Wister, born May 2nd, 1926, passed away peacefully on October 29th, 2024 at the age of 98.
Iris arrived in Canada after WWII from London England and met her husband, Stephen Wister (deceased, April 13, 1991) in London Ontario. She had four children, Terry Wister (sp. Elsa), Shelley Wister (sp. Mike), Andrew Wister (sp. Barbara), and David Wister (sp. Nancy). Iris also left behind her adored grandchildren: Sigrun Reid, Jessica Pellini, Kayzia Mitchell, Tara, Andrea, Carrie, and Samantha Wister.
Iris was an avid reader, artist, dancer and philosopher who dearly loved her children and extended family. She was an art docent at the London Library, based on her extensive knowledge of the history of artists. Iris was a self-taught expert in the Old Testament and followed the laws of Judaism. Iris will be remembered for her dry wit, thoughtful and sage advice, and her creativity in the arts.
