On November 17, 2024, Ira White Sr., a member of Walpole Island First Nation went to be with the Lord at the age of 82. Beloved husband of Susan White and predeceased by his first wife Deana (Peters) White. Loving dad of Ira Dean Jr, Adrian Sr., Tina Louise, Loretta and the late Lena (2021). Cherished papa of Adrian, Brandon, Blake, Hunter, Deana, Zaden, Mason, Joshua, Lila, the late Lynetta as well as his many great grandchildren. Ira will be fondly remembered by Susan’s children Paul (Kly), Amie (Justin) and by her 9 grandchildren. Ira was the last surviving child of the late Ira and Fairen White and has now joined his siblings Nellie, Loretta, Violet, Clifford, Helen, William, Gladys, Jeanette, Myrtle, Ruth and Oliver. He will be remembered for his skill as a hunter and the beautiful music he made with his guitar. He worked for many years as a farmer as well as a janitor at the Walpole Island Elementary School. Family and Friends are invited for visitation at the Haycock-Cavanagh Funeral Home, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg (519-627-3231), on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 from 2-4 and 6-8pm. His funeral will take place on Thursday, November 21, 2024 at Walpole Island Evangelistic Centre at 1pm with burial at Highbanks Cemetery to follow.
