It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ulysse LeBlanc, 97, on Sunday, February 9th, 2025, in Moncton.
Born in Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, he was the son of the late Fréderic LeBlanc and the late Élise Léger.
Ulysse will be sadly missed by his children: Charles LeBlanc (Camilla) of Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, Bernard LeBlanc (Jeannette) of Sainte-Anne-de-Kent, Diane DeCoste (Gerry) of Moncton, and Ginette Bourgeois (Guy) of Sainte-Marie-de-Kent; his grandchildren: Nadine DeCoste, Pierre DeCoste (Julia), Mathieu LeBlanc, Nathalie LeBlanc, Martine Bourgeois, Mireille Maillet (Marcel), France Mazerolle (Sam), and Renée Mazerolle; his great-grandchildren: Dylan, Braelyn, Emersyn, Noah, and Théo; his card partners: Noëlla, Gérard and Géralda; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his beloved wife, Stella LeBlanc (Caissie); his brothers: Eric (Lina), Edgar (Juliette) and Normand (Iona); and his sisters: Irène (Antoine), Anna (Simon), Imelda (Amédée), Jeanne (François), Cécile (Hervé) and Aline (Yvon).
Ulysse enjoyed working in his carpentry shop, camping and fishing from his boat. He was a member of the Sainte-Marie choir for many years. He also enjoyed watching the Montreal Canadiens hockey games.
Visitation will be held at Passage (3754 Route 134, Shediac Bridge) on Tuesday, February 18th, 2025, from 1:00pm until time of service. A funeral service will be held in the chapel at 3:00pm.
Donations in Ulysse’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society of New Brunswick or to a charity of your choice.
