Shediac, NB – Norbert Brun, 78, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre in Moncton, on Sunday, March 2, 2025.
Born in Petit-Cap, NB, he was the son of the late Abel and the late Marguerite Brun (Arsenault).
Norbert will be sadly missed by his loving spouse: Claudette Brun (LeBlanc); his children: Jacqueline Brun (Marcelo Oliveira) of Rothesay and Guy Brun of Shediac; his precious granddaughter: Gabrielle Breau; his siblings: Oscar Ouellette (Livina) of Cap-Pelé, Amand Ouellette (Elaine) of Grand-Barachois and Marie-Mai Duguay (Billy) of Shediac; his brother-in-law: Paul Melanson of Petit-Cap; his sisters-in-law: Lorraine Ouellette of Cap-Pelé and Thérèse Brun of Petit-Cap; his mother in law Evelyne Leblanc of Memramcook; also by several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by some of his siblings: Hermance Richard (late Léo), Germaine Doiron (late Willy), Marguerite Melanson, Francis Ouellette (late Thérèse), Napoléon Ouellette, Huberte Cyr (late Félix), Henrie Ouellette, Laurie Ouellette (late Gilberte), Jeannette Leger (late Alphée) and Jean Brun.
Norbert Brun devoted his life and spirit to his loving Wife Claudette Brun and his Family. He showed his love and devotion with an always ready helping hand, and a strong work ethic to provide for his Family. Norbert had many careers throughout his life, from lumbering with his Dad Abel, and delivering Furniture in his early adulthood, to eventually working in many aspects of the Fish and Lobster processing industry until he built, owned, and operated his own “Boucanniere”. Later in his life he would retire as a School Bus Driver of 13 years. In retirement, Norbert spent his time gardening and dancing with his wife, Claudette, and cherished spending time with his family, especially his beloved granddaughter Gabrielle.
Visitation will be held at Ste-Thérèse d’Avila Slumber room, 2648 Acadie Road, Cap-Pelé, NB E4N 1Y8, on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 from 1pm to 2:45pm. Followed by the funeral mass at the church at 3pm.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to Alzheimer Society (NB) or to a charity of your choice.
