Moncton, N.-B – It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Armand “Yogi” Cormier, 66, that occurred on Tuesday, January 8th, 2025, at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre in Moncton.
Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Christopher Cormier and the late Cecile (Williams) Cormier.
He will be sadly missed by his sisters: Dot (Dave) Barley, Jeannine (Andy) McCabe, his brother, Roger (Francine) all of Dieppe; as well as his niece and nephews: Kevin (Terri), Kenda (Richard), Kolin (Monica), Christopher (Emma), Jamie (Missy), Kris (Steph) Daxon & Kai, Julien (Christina) Carson.
Yogi worked for years in the Fire Protection Sprinkler industry as a journeyman sprinkler fitter, however, his true passion was being part of the grounds crew, who did the grow-in and ongoing maintenance at both Royal Oaks & Fox Creek golf courses; his attention to detail drove Pascal and Trevor crazy.
A true friend to those close to him and generous; (take the bull by the horns kind of guy), who was affectionately referred to as the “mayor” of Robinson Street by his neighbours. Rest in peace, BUDDY!!
A gathering to celebrate Armand’s life will be held at the Passage-Chartersville Funeral Cooperative (363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB, E1A 1G1, 506-857-1901) on Tuesday, January 14th, from 2 to 4 pm only. There will be no funeral service.
