Obituary of Ila Maxine Lenover
It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye for now to Maxine Lenover. She entered into the presence of her Lord and Saviour at Copper Terrace Nursing Home on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at the age of 95.
Born in Comber, Maxine was the daughter of the late Thomas and Amy (née Been) Coulter.
Beloved wife and best friend of 67 years to the late Jack William Lenover (2017).
Loving sister-in-law to Elfa Coulter.
Predeceased by her sister Donna Moore (the late Tom), and brother Bud Coulter.
Kind Aunt to many nieces, nephews, and their families.
Predeceased by Jack’s siblings, Eva (Barron) Grenier, Charles (1942), Gerald (Isabelle), Walter (Dorothy), and Keith (Leota).
Maxine retired as an Administrative Assistant, first with Kent & Es Mutual Fire Insurance and later with Gregory Drive Alliance Church. She ministered to the Church Family through gifts of hospitality, prayer and devotion to Missions. Her artistic side was evident through her sewing, gardening and needlepoint.
We would like to extend our sincerest gratitude to the loving caregivers at Copper Terrace for their devoted compassion, care and support in recent years. Maxine considered them her second family. Thank you to her Church Family for ministering to Jack and Maxine in a variety of ways.
Friends to be received on Friday, February 21, 2025 at Gregory Drive Alliance Church, 255 Gregory Drive West, Chatham from 10:00 am until a Celebration of Maxine’s Life at 11:00 am. A Livestream of the Service will be available. Burial to follow in Maple Leaf Cemetery. Rev. Bob Beasley as officiant.
Donations made in memory of Maxine to Gregory Drive Alliance Church or to the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
