With sadness, we announce the passing of Ida Sturino on April 5, 2025 at the age of 99. Reunited in heaven with her beloved husband Ernesto. Cherished mother of Anna Maria (Giuseppe Perricone) and Frank (Monica Stellin). Proud nonna of Idella (Kevin Siu), Leonora (Antonio Gigliotti), Deanna (Roberto De Rose) and Francesco and bisnonna to Leroy, Rosario, Augustus, Lorenzo, Fiorella, Ilaria, Vincenzo, and Giuseppe. Predeceased by her siblings; Luigi, Iolanda, Giovanni, Emilia, Trentina, Francesco, Gaspare and Carmela she will be missed by her many nieces, nephews and their families.
Family and friends are welcome to Bernardo Funeral Home (2960 Dufferin St., south of Lawrence Ave. W.) for visitation on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 from 2-5 and 6-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Charles Borromeo Church (811 Lawrence Ave. W., at Dufferin St.) on Thursday, April 10, 2025 at 9:30 a.m. Ida will then be laid to rest with her husband at Westminster Cemetery (5830 Bathurst St., north of Finch Ave. W.).
In memory of Ida, donations may be made to Villa Colombo or the Alzheimer’s Society.
