Obituary of Ian Issac Cosman
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ian Isaac Cosman on February 11, 2025, in the Digby General Hospital. Born on April 9, 1971, He was the son of the late Raymond and Betty Cosman. Ian spent his life in Digby, surrounded by family, friends, and the community he called home.
Ian was a dedicated power engineer at Acadian Seaplants for many years, having studied at Annapolis Valley Community College. Most recently, he worked at Riverside Lobster International Inc. He had a passion for life and enjoyed watching hockey, fishing, playing golf, cards, poker, and darts. He loved skidooing and cherished the time he spent with his children whenever he could. Known for his infectious smile and quick wit, Ian was always laughing and cracking jokes, bringing joy to those around him. His sense of humour and warm personality made him a friend to many and someone who could always brighten a room.
Ian is survived by his beloved children, Calie Rae Cosman and Cole Isaac Steeves Cosman; his former wife, Trudy Trimper; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will miss him dearly.
In addition to his parents, Ian was predeceased by his siblings, Blake and Jill Cosman.
Ian will be remembered for his love of family, his laughter, and the countless cherished memories he created with those who knew him. He will be deeply missed.
Ian’s Celebration of Life will be held April 12th, 2025, from 12:00pm-4:00pm in the Digby Curling Club. Flowers may be sent to Ian’s family, or in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Liver Foundation. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Drive, Coldbrook, NS B4R 1B9.
