Hugh MacGillivary Obituary
It is with the deepest grief that we announce the sudden passing of Hugh D MacGillivray of Saint John at the Saint John Regional hospital. He was the son of Hugh John MacGillivray and Agnes (Gallant) MacGillivray. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his two younger brothers Michael and Mark MacGillivray. Hugh was a scaffolder by trade and worked winters at the department of transportation.
Hugh will be deeply missed by his wife, best friend and soul mate of 44 years Darrellene, sons Barry, Shawn (Melissa) and Mike (Amy), dearest granddaughter -forever in my heart, Isabella (Jayden), brother David (Dianne), sisters Carol (Gerard) and Cathy (Howard) and several nieces and nephews. He will also be missed by his two favourite felines Jack and Jill.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (506-646-2424). In keeping with Hugh’s wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private family service will be held at a later date. Any donations can be made to Red Head Strays and would be greatly appreciated by the family.
