Obituary of Howard J. “Howie” Isaacs
Peacefully, on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at McCormick Home, London, Howard Isaacs passed away at the age of 78.
Beloved husband of 41 years to Susan Isaacs (née Burnett). Loving father of Benjamin Isaacs (Kaleigh Valois) and Rebecca (Ella) Isaacs. Grandfather of Cosmos Isaacs. Dear brother of the late Peter Isaacs. Forever in the hearts of his extended family and many friends. Predeceased by his parents Nathan & Miriam Isaacs.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to all the staff of McCormick Home, as well as Dr. Michael Borrie and Howard’s supportive friend, Ellen Robson, for all their care and dedication.
Howard will be fondly remembered for being an inspirational teacher and passionate educator. He was nominated by his peers and received the Prime Minister’s Award for Teaching Excellence, which recognizes teachers for their innovative practices. He always held the utmost trust in youth. Howard had a deep love of art, music and sports.
Cremation has taken place.
Private graveside service and interment of ashes will be held at Restmount Temple Israel Cemetery, Oxford Street West (at Proudfoot Lane), London, Ontario.
A celebration of Howard’s life will be held in the spring.
In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial donations to McCormick Home or Alzheimer Society (Southwest Partners) in memory of Howard.
