It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Howard Hoermann. He was born on November 27, 1943, and passed away on January 2, 2025, at the age of 81. He is survived by his three daughters: Jeanni (Mark), Jolene, Katie (Greg), son Shannon and granddaughters, a grandson as well as nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his two cats Lucky and TT who he loved and cared for dearly. Howard is predeceased by his parents Emil and Emma and three older siblings: Muriel Nowosad, Frank Hoermann and Doris Sterr, and a granddaughter.
Life took Howard down many roads. In his earlier years it was a life of farming just outside of Redwater, which brought many fishing and hunting trips with old and lifelong friends. Later on, in life he enjoyed traveling on his Harley Davidson with many good friends. Life eventually took him to an acreage just outside of Ardrossan and here he made his home. Howard met some amazing and close friends through his many hobbies which included welding, working on hot rods and gardening all while still making time for fishing, hunting and farming on occasion. In his final years, woodworking became another hobby where he made beautiful wooden pieces, but from a young age his lifelong hobby was photography, which he shared with his brother Frank. He also loved to travel and would often drive to Vancouver to see his sister Doris or go visit his oldest sister Muriel from time to time. A celebration of Dad’s life will be held in the Summer of 2025 at his acreage in Ardrossan.
