It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved dad, grandpa and brother. Claire passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 23, 2025 at the age of 80 with family by his side.
Predeceased by his loving wife Sandra (2021), he will always be in the hearts of his son Rick Hodgkinson, daughter Lori (John) Grano and his two grandchildren, Noah and Avery.
Claire is survived by his brother Alan (Christine) Hodgkinson and will be dearly remembered fondly by his two sisters-in-law Verla (Ivan) Cramp-White and Coreen (Jim) Clarke and his nieces, nephews and their families.
Anyone who met Claire could easily see his kind, caring and helpful nature, he was always there to lend a helping hand. His positive outlook never went unnoticed and never disappeared. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
Claire’s family will receive friends and family at the Ferguson Funeral Home in Meaford on Sunday, March 2, 2025 from 2 until 6 p.m. A private service will be conducted at Ferguson Funeral Home on Monday, March 3, 2025 with interment following at Lakeview Cemetery.
As your expression of sympathy, donations to the Centennial United Church in Stayner (cheques only please) or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated and may be made through the Ferguson Funeral Home, 48 Boucher St. E., Meaford, ON N4L 1B9 to whom arrangements have been entrusted. www.fergusonfuneralhomes.ca
