It is with great sadness that the family of the late Eliza Hodge announces her passing at the age of 95 at the Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony.
She leaves to mourn with a lifetime of cherished memories, her Sons: Roy, Wayne (Joy), Graydon (Delena), George (Debbie), Gerald (Rosalie), Sam; Daughters: Elaine (Wilfred), Rowena (Stewart), Myrtle (Hubert), Naomi (Whyman); Grandchildren: Tracey (Nelson), Rhyon (Harry), Karen Ann (Harold), Petula (Trent), Wilfred (Dana), Myrtle (Fred), Melissa (Brad), Joy (Jason), Germaine (Jason), Whyman (Chantel), Mitchell (Sandra), Tina, Wendy, Effie (Will), Pelle (Holly), Paige (Eddie), Wayne (Amy), Noah (Robyn), Sabrina (Travis), Donovan (Jessica), Leslie (Susie), Scott (Christine), Dana (Scott), 33 great-grandchildren, 5 Great-great-grandchildren, residents and staff of the Ivy Durley Place as well as many other extended family and friends.
Eliza is predeceased by her Husband: Phillip Hodge; Daughter: Rowena; Parents: George and Jane Gaulton; Grandson: Tyson Dempster; Daughter-in-law: Ethel.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Ivy Durley Place, Flower’s Cove Health Centre and Curtis Memorial Hospital for the exceptional care and compassion shown to our mom. Your kindness will never be forgotten.
Visitation will take place from the St. Barnabas Anglican Church in Flower’s Cove beginning the evening of Sunday, March 9, 2025 and continue until the funeral on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Canon Vernon Short officiating. Interment to follow.
