It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Henry Arnold Hagan at St. Joseph’s Villa on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at the age of 90. Son to Elli and Arnold Hagan both predeceased.
Henry was born in Timmins and was an Electrical Technologist graduating from Ryerson Polytechnical Institute in Toronto. Henry’s working career went from Sault Ste. Marie to New York and finally to INCO, where he retired in 1992.
Henry’s pride and joy was his invention of cable clamps for holding power cables down mine shafts, which are still in use today. Henry got great enjoyment out of his camp on Lake Penage. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and golf. He also loved his hamburger and beer every Thursday afternoon at Eddie’s restaurant with his buddies.
We would like to extend our sincerest gratitude and appreciation to the staff at St. Joseph’s Rehab and the St. Joseph’s Villa, 2nd floor Hillcrest section who looked after Henry with great care. In keeping with his wishes, there will be no visitation or service. Donations can be made in Henry’s memory to the Parkinson’s Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, April 17, 2025 at Eddie’s Restaurant, 1769 Regent Street, Sudbury from 1-4pm.
Arrangements entrusted to Sudbury Park Lawn Cremation Services.
