Henrietta Lavalle-Venne Obituary
We are heartbroken to announce the passing of our beloved Mother at Nipissing Manor (Corbeil) on Thursday February 20, 2025, at the age of 99 years. Cherished wife of the late Bruno Venne, predeceased by her first husband, George Lavallee. Loving mother to Cecile Somme (Charles) and David Lavallee (Cheryle), the late Raymond Lavallee (Brenda) and predeceased by her son Robert Lavallee (Fay). Forever loved Memere of Charlyn, Cathryn, Chris, Debbie, Mark, Darren, Melissa, Michael and Greg and their families. Memere of 18 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Henrietta is predeceased by her siblings Lucien, Michael, Claude, Germain, and Gerard as well as her parents Telesphore Regnier and Virginia (nee Savage) Regnier.
Henrietta (and her husband George) operated the Twilight Motel in Goulais River from 1965-1983. Upon George’s death, Henrietta travelled; married Bruno Venne and settled in North Bay. Henrietta has lived a life of service to her family, friends and community. “Well done, thou good and faithful servant”. Matthew 25:21. We extend our love and sincere appreciation to the entire staff of Nipissing Manor, our angel Karen Chadbourn for their years of caregiving.
As per Henrietta’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and a family burial will occur in the spring in Sault Ste. Marie. Online condolences can be made at www.mcguintyfuneralhome.com
