Obituary of Helen Annie Accadia (nee Laslo)
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Helen Annie Accadia, who passed away peacefully on July 17, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Helen was a beloved wife of 65.5 years to her husband Michael Blaize Accadia.
Helen was a devoted mother to her children Michael (Rose), Catherine (Terry), and David (Rachel). She was a cherished grandmother to Stacey (Rick), Michelle (RJ), Michael (Nicole), and Ashley (Ben), and a proud great-grandmother to Grace, Lola, Octavia, Blaise, Abigail, and Harvey. She was also a loving sister to Mary Gillen.
Helen was a woman of deep character, and boundless love. She cherished every moment spent with her family, always looking forward to the next celebration. It was with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren that Helen’s spirit shone brightest as she wrapped them in the warmth of her love and singing of her favourite Hungarian songs.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to everyone at Ontario Home Care and Dr. Savatteri for their outstanding compassionate care during Helen’s final days.
Cremation has already taken place, and a private service was held in her honour. In lieu of flowers, donations in Helen’s memory to Monasteries Sisters of the Precious Blood in Hamilton would be greatly appreciated. Online condolences and notes of sympathy may be left at www.donaldvbrown.ca
Helen will be deeply missed by her family and friends,
but her love and cherished memories will live on forever in their hearts.
May she rest in peace.
