Helen Vivien Morgan Obituary
MORGAN, Helen Vivien – passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 16th at Northland Pointe, a long-term care facility in Niagara region, at the age of 73. She is survived by her daughter Deryn Morgan Jakolev. She is predeceased by her many, dearly beloved animals: Bala, Laxie, Merlin, Bonner, Henny, Shiela and Moira. Vivien was a very accomplished tax lawyer, who most recently worked for the Canadian Tax Foundation as their Editor Emeritus, publishing a monthly newsletter, which allowed her to combine her deep understanding of tax law and her love for writing. Her true passion in life was art – she loved sculpting, drawing, painting, woodworking, glass blowing, knitting, croqueting and beading. She was also known for baking the world’s greatest pies. Vivien received a Masters in Fine Art from the Ontario College of Art and Design, her Juris Doctorate from the University of Toronto Law School (Class of 1977) and her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto.
A funeral will be held at the Davidson Funeral Home (135 Clarence Street, Port Colborne) on Friday, February 21st, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. to celebrate Vivien’s life, loves and accomplishments. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Vivien may be made to the PSP Society of Canada or the World Wildlife Fund, a foundation that Vivien donated to annually in support of animals everywhere.
