Helen Margaret Bruce
Helen Margaret Bruce, age 72, of Halifax, Nova Scotia passed away on February 15, 2025. She
was born in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, a daughter of the late James Garfield Bruce and Helen
Gertrude (Smith) Bruce.
Helen was an avid animal lover and held a deep and special affection for her pets, including
many dogs and cats, over the years. An accomplished cook, she enjoyed being in the kitchen,
pickling and jam and wine making. Helen achieved her Red Seal certification in cooking. She
also enjoyed knitting. Helen worked at various places over the years, most recently at a longterm care facility.
Helen is survived by her sisters, Sylvia Cosh, Joan Julien, and Eileen Bruce; her brothers, Danny
Bruce, Gary Bruce, Alan Bruce and David Bruce; several nieces and nephews.
Burial will be held in the spring. There will not be a funeral service.
