It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Helen Joyce Fowler (nee White) on January 11, 2025, at Andy’s House Hospice in Port Carling.
Helen was born on March 27, 1930, in North Bay, Ontario to parents Harry and Helen White (nee McManus). She is the loving mother of Barb (Brent) Dance, treasured nana of Angela (Jason) Copeman and special nana of Alex, Nolan, and Isabella. Dear sister of Carl White. Helen is predeceased by her parents, her brothers Emmett and Bill, her sisters Inez and Joan, and her sons Bruce (Brenda) Fowler and Kevin Fowler.
Helen was a member of the Catholic Women’s league for 68 years and was a member of the Legion Ladies Auxiliary for 64 years. She was employed by Beardmore Tannery for 24 years. In 1960, her family moved from Huntsville to Acton, Ontario where she met many wonderful friends.
A visitation will occur on Saturday, January 18, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Billingsley Funeral Home, 430 Ravenscliffe Road. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Reception to be held at Billingsley Funeral Home following the funeral service. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations can be made to Andy’s House at www.hospicemuskoka.com/andyshouse or a charity of choice in lieu of flowers.
