Johnston, Helen Jane (nee Bertram)
Peacefully at the Brantford General Hospital on Thursday, February 6, 2025 in her 93rd year, Beloved wife of 66 years to the late William Johnston (2021).
Loved mother of Susan (Al) Teakle, William “Billy” (Shannon) Johnston. Much loved grandmother of Jason, Justin, Ashley, Brady, Ireland and the late Brooklyn. Great-grandmother of Rory, Grace, Claire, Huxley. Predeceased by her brothers, David, Lloyd, Herman.
Helen was born in Maple Creek, Saskatchewan and came to Brantford from Regina with her cousin Eileen. Here she met her husband, William and made Brantford her home.
Special thanks to the staff at Riverview Terrace, where Helen was a resident for 2 ½ years. As well, thanks to the staff of the Brantford General Hospital, including Dr. Kamel and the staff of Palliative Care.
Family and friends will be received for a memorial visitation at the McCleister Funeral Home, 495 Park Road North, Brantford on Saturday, February 15, 2025 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Memorial Service in the Chapel on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. Cremation has taken place. If wished, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation gratefully appreciated. Condolences and memories may be shared with the family at mccleisterfuneralhome.ca McCleister 519-758-1553.
