Helen peacefully passed into the presence of the Lord on Thursday January 9, 2025, after a brief journey with cancer at the age of 91. Helen Neufeld was born January 20, 1933, and grew up in the villages of Swan Plain, Passchendaele, and town of Hague Saskatchewan. Helen met the love of her life Henry Friesen at the post office in Hague in 1948 and were married soon thereafter in October of 1949 and moved to Saskatoon Saskatchewan.
Helen is survived by her sisters Alma (Dick), Irene (Vic); brothers Ed (Yvonne), Les (Julie); brothers-in-law Tony (Jacqueline), Bill, and Steve; sister-in-law Laura; Helen’s children, grandchildren and great grandchildren: Todd Friesen and his children Michelle, Jennifer, Adam, Matt (Andrea) and Marc (Martina) and grandchildren Brooklyn and Mateius; Terry Friesen and his children, Shawna (Kerry) Martin, Brett (Chelsey) Friesen, Cassandra (Dan) Celsi and Anastasia Friesen and great grandchildren Alicia, Lexi, Braxton, Sky, Ryder, Bianca and Gabriol; Sandi (Phill) Elenko and family, Clint (Tara) Elenko, Jay (Terri) Elenko and great grandchildren Jackson, Alex, Riley, Hunter, and Preslee; Rob Friesen and daughter Nicole; and Scott (Alyssa Deacon) Friesen and children Anyka, Emma and Boston; and former spouse’s Lorelei, Kim, Lori Dawn, Brenda, Joy.
She was predeceased by her husband Henry; her parents Herman and Margaret Neufeld; brothers Rick, Menno, Al; sisters Gladys, Marilyn, Erna; brother-in-law Vern; sisters-in-law Marge, Verna, Leona and Cheryl and grandchild Taylor.
