Helen Cecile Eubank
February 24, 1951 – October 9, 2025
In Loving Memory of Helen Cecile Eubank (Port Dover, ON)
Our dear Helen, a fearless adventurer, devoted animal lover, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 9, 2025 at the age of 74.
Helen lived a life rich in experience and wonder. Her life was a tapestry woven with vibrant experiences and bold choices. From the lush rainforests of Ecuador to the rugged beauty of Canada’s Northwest Territories and northern BC, to the serene calm and comfort of the north shores of Lake Erie in Port Dover. Whether she was scuba diving in coral reefs, cruising down winding roads on her motorcycle, she embraced the world with open arms and an open heart.
Her love for cats was legendary—she never met a feline she didn’t adore. Her home was a sanctuary for whiskered companions, and her gentle spirit made her a favorite among strays and rescues alike. She believed that every creature deserved kindness, and she lived that belief every day.
Helen leaves behind a legacy of courage, compassion, and curiosity. She is survived by her Sister-in-law Elsie, her nephews and nieces, John, Jim (Veronica), Loretta (Steve), and Kelly (Martin) and her great-nephew Jonathan, and a wide circle of friends who will carry her memory like a compass, guiding them toward lives of greater adventure and love.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Purrfect Companions of Norfolk, a cause close to her heart. There will be a private service with close friends and family.
Ride free, dive deep, and rest gently, dear Helen. You were truly one of a kind.
Arrangements by Hyde and Mott Funeral Home, Hagersville.
