Hedley Mouland
January 22nd, 1935- March 11th, 2025
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our dear father, Hedley Mouland, at the age of 90 years.
Hedley was born on January 22, 1935 to Frederick and Tryphina Mouland. He married his life-long partner Jessie on May 9, 1958 and together they had two children, Brenda and Frederick.
Hedley was always known as a hard worker by everyone who knew him. He never sat idle; if he wasn’t fishing or cutting his winter wood, he was mending nets, building lobster pots, picking berries, or building houses, cabins, and sheds.
He took pride in his work and sought perfection in everything he did. Without formal training, Hedley was able to turn his hand at carpentry, electrical work, and plumbing.
Hedley treasured his family and was always available to help and offer guidance when requested. His kids truly valued his opinion and often looked to him for wise and practical advice.
He is predeceased by his parents Frederick and Tryphina Mouland, wife Jessie, sister Alma, and brothers Heber, Roy, and Lyall.
Left to mourn, but with a lifetime of wonderful memories, are: daughter Brenda, son-in-law Dave, son Fred, daughter-in-law Paula, grand-daughters Lorrie Ann and Jada, grandson Jake, all of the extended family, and many long-time friends.
Cremation has taken place, there will be a Funeral Service held on Saturday, March 15th at 11:00am from Strathie’s Funeral Home, followed by inurnment at the United Cemetery.
