It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Heather Lynn Anderson. Heather passed away peacefully on Sunday January 19, 2025, at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre, with her family by her side.
Born in Port Arthur to Eric and Margaret Anderson, Heather remained a resident of Current River throughout her life. Heather worked many places over the years. This included St. Joseph’s Hospital Pharmacy and the Department of Forestry at Lakehead University. Heather had a gift for decorating and eventually opened her own business in Current River creating balloon bouquets.
Despite the many medical challenges she endured, Heather had a zest and a passion for life. She led a very full life and accomplished many outstanding milestones; she even published a book! She is survived by her longtime and loving partner Stan, and their cat Ember. Her sisters Sheila (John) and Carol, nieces Amanda (Sean), Ashley (Tyler), Rachel (Dave), Amie (Steve), and nephew Adam. Great nieces Addisyn, Arja, Brielle and Madeleine as well as great nephews Finley, Cayden and Joshua. She is also survived by Stan’s daughter Corrine (Pierre) and son Jason as well as her lifetime best friend Rina. She was predeceased by her parents Margaret and Eric Anderson and brother Clifford.
We would like to invite you to honour Heather’s life and to share beautiful memories at her Celebration of Life, which will be held on Sunday February 9th from 1pm-4pm at the Slovak Legion located at 801 Atlantic Ave. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Kitty Care.
