1950 – 2024
Heather Clarence (née Herbison) passed away peacefully on December 10, 2024, at Brockville General Hospital, with her family by her side. Born on August 11, 1950, in Brockville, Heather was the beloved daughter of the late Dorothy and Cecil Herbison and a cherished sister to Lynda. She was predeceased by her siblings Harold, Lucille, and Jimmy, and her beloved daughter, Cindy Lee.
Heather is survived by her devoted daughter, Wendy (John), and by her children’s father, David Clarence. Heather was also a proud and devoted aunt to her many nieces and nephews, and a cherished cousin to her extended family.
A heartfelt acknowledgment goes to her close cousin, Karen Post, who was always like a sister to Heather and brought her endless laughter and joy, and to her lifelong best friend, Annie François, whose steadfast friendship provided Heather with comfort and companionship.
Heather was a devoted mother whose quick wit, infectious humor, and vibrant personality made her the life of every gathering. She will be remembered for her love of family, her sharp sense of humor, and her generous spirit that touched everyone she met.
A private family interment will take place at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. A celebration of Heather’s life will be held at the Irvine Memorial Chapel at Roselawn, 2451 County Road 15, Maitland on Friday, January 24th, 2025 from 11:30 am until 1:30 pm with words of remembrance at 12 noon.
