The death occurred peacefully at Stewart Memorial Home, Tyne
Valley on Thursday, January 23, 2025 of Hattie Eleanor MacKinnon of
Tyne Valley, aged 92, beloved wife of the late Keith MacKinnon. Hattie
was born on September 24, 1932 in Freeland, daughter of the late
Thomas & Sarah (Paugh) Boyle.
Dear mother to James (Marlene MacAusland) Ellerslie; Robert
(Theresa) of Summerside, Allison (Susan Lea) Mermaid, Diane ( Robert
Gallant), Union Corner and Darlene (Jamie) Pringle, Vancouver,
BC.
Loving grandmother to Angela (Nick) Ramsay, Anita (Benji)
Harper, Nicholas MacLean (Kelly Bemester), Kyle Sproule (Cheryll
Hardy) , Calvin Sproule (Stella Gallant), Grace Robin Manning, Zachary
and Mackinnon Pringle and great grandchildren Emily and Jessica
Ramsay, Kalie Harper, James and Jaxon Sproule, Ripley, Hale and
Charlee Gallant
Hattie was predeceased by her parents, Husband
Keith (September 22, 2009), sons in law Ivan Sproule and Stephen
MacLean, brother Wallace (Inez) Boyle, sisters May (Eddie) Hutchinson,
Eva (Edgar) Stewart, Reby (Ray) Culleton, sisters and bothers in law
Reby (Charlie) Milligan, John “Ted” (Mary) MacKinnon, Frank
(Myrtle) MacKinnon, and Keith’s twin Kelsey in
infancy.
Resting at Ferguson Tyne Valley Funeral Chapel, no visitation
by personal request. Funeral service on Thursday at 1:00 p.m. in the
chapel. Interment in the spring in the Freeland United Church
Cemetery.
