In Loving Memory of Harry Hallewell
August 25, 1938 – February 3, 2025
With heavy hearts, we say goodbye to Harry Hallewell—a man of strength, kindness, and unwavering love for his family. Harry was more than just skilled with his Master’s in Mechanical Engineering, he was a problem solver, a traveler, and a man who could fix just about anything, whether it was a broken lawnmower or the old car. His work took him on adventures to many parts of the world, but no matter where he was, he always carried pride and love for his family with him.
Beyond his talents with tools and machines, Harry had a deep love for the water. Fishing and boating brought him peace and joy, and he never missed a chance to cast a line or cruise on the ocean in BC. Whether it was sharing fishing tips, telling stories of the ones that got away, or simply steering the boat while his grandson’s fished, those moments were some of his happiest.
Harry is survived by his only daughter, Kelly (Luke) and his cherished grandsons, Shaun (Alex) and Ryan (Tessa), his great-grandaughters, Raelynn, Kennedy and Blake, who will always remember his wisdom, humor, and gentle guidance. Not to mention many long -time friends and extended family. His kindness touched everyone who knew him, and his legacy of generosity and quiet strength will live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind. Sadly, Harry was predeceased by his wife of 63 years, Marge, just a few short months ago, who is also greatly mourned.
Though he is no longer with us, we find comfort in knowing that his spirit remains in every lesson he taught, every challenge he tackled, and every life he made better just by being in it.
We love you, Dad and Papa. You will always be missed.
