Obituary of Harold Davis
It is with deep love and fondness that we announce the peaceful passing of Harold Davis, on Monday, January 6, 2025, at the age of 88, surrounded by his cherished family. Harold was the beloved husband of the late Gail and the devoted father to Mike (Nancy) and Todd (Dawn). He was a proud and loving grandfather to Rachel (Mike), Cassie (Tim), Billy (Hannah), Sydney (Steven), and Jessica (Matt), and a delighted great-grandfather to Lily, Georgia, and Myles.
Harold will be remembered for his infectious laugh, the remarkable stories he told with the passion of someone who truly lived each moment, and his undeniable spirit. He spent many years working at Dofasco, where his dedication and tireless work ethic left a lasting impact. Whether it was on the job or in his personal life, Harold was known for his willingness to lend a hand, tackle any project with determination, and share his wisdom with anyone who needed it.
A man of simple joys, Harold was passionate about the outdoors—especially hunting and butchering with his close-knit hunting group. The memories made at the old shack with lifelong friends were dear to his heart, and he spoke of those days often, recalling laughter, camaraderie, and the bond they shared. But above all, Harold’s true pride and joy was his family. His love for them knew no bounds, and he lived each day with a deep sense of gratitude for the relationships he built and nurtured throughout his life.
Harold’s legacy is one of warmth, hard work, humor, and, most importantly, love. He leaves behind a family that will carry his spirit and memories with them forever, and a community that will miss his generous heart and contagious laughter.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at the Binbrook Agricultural Hall, 2600 Hwy 56, Binbrook at 2 p.m. Family and friends are invited to join in remembering Harold’s full and remarkable life.
